Peace. Love. Paws. is an apparel and gift company for animal lovers. Some of its products include T-shirts, tote bags, scarves, note cards and jewelry.

The company is owned by Alissa Gander of Wisconsin Dells, Wis. She has two dogs, Bogey the black Lab/pitbull mix and Izzy the rat terrier/Chihuahua mix (pictured with Gander below).

The idea for Peace. Love. Paws. came to be when Gander was trying to explain what it felt like to love and be loved by an animal, according to her web site. She kept coming back to PEACE.

“To share a unifying bond with an animal is a sense of ultimate PEACE.”

Gander wanted to show her love for animals through apparel and gifts and felt there was a need for high-quality, versatile apparel for pet lovers.

You know, something you could wear to the dog park and out to dinner, she says on her web site.

Hmm, yep, I can relate to that!

I could also relate to her passion to give back to animals in need.

“We give a lot back to shelters and rescues, give it proceeds of sales, donation of products or fundraising for shelters,” Gander said.

Every other month, her company highlights a specific shelter or rescue. One of the recent groups she was able to help was the Humane Society of the Nature Coast, a shelter in Brooksville, Fla.

The company sells wholesale and retail items, and I think the designs are adorable, especially the T-shirts and scarves.

That’s saying a lot because I’m normally not that into shopping or fashion.

Peace. Love. Paws has me making wish lists for myself and planning what I might send to certain friends, who would like what, and so on.

To give you a couple examples, pictured are some of the items I received or would like to receive from Peace. Love. Paws. like the I Am Loved tee, pictured above. Ace and I are doing our best to look like models. 🙂
