Take a guess & enter to win treats from Fruitables!
Can you guess what kind of mix Amy is?
She is a 2-year-old dog up for adoption with Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge, La.
Her foster owner Jennifer J. sent me these pics, and she would love to hear your guesses on Amy’s potential breeds!
Everyone who leaves a guess in the comments will be entered into a drawing to win a bag of dog treats from Fruitables! (More info below.)
The shelter calls Amy a “Lab/Basenji mix,” and she weighs about 49 pounds.
“Amy is very friendly and loves attention,” Jennifer said.

More about adoptable-dog Amy
Amy originally came to the shelter with a litter of three puppies, according to her profile page on Petfinder.
Her puppies got adopted quickly, leaving her alone at the shelter, but she is doing much better now that she is in a foster home.
“She will rub up against you to let you know that she wants to be petted, which is any time she is not sleeping,” Jennifer said. “Amy is dog reactive, but she does get along well with our dog.”
How you can win a bag of Fruitables dog treats
For a chance to win a bag of watermelon-flavored “skinny minis” from Fruitables, just leave a comment with your best guess on Amy’s breeds. A “winner” will be chosen at random on Sept. 12. (Must have a U.S. mailing address to win.) We don’t actually know Amy’s breeds, so this is just for fun!
*Congrats to Chewy the Golden. Chewy is our winner!
My guess: Lab/husky/Jack Russell
You can learn more about the Fruitables treats here. They are soft and chewy – perfect for training.
*Send your mutt pics to Lindsay@ThatMutt.com if you’d like to feature your dog or a shelter dog in an upcoming Guess That Mutt post.

I love you guys' guesses. Honestly, when I first saw her at the shelter I had no clue as to what she is mixed with. However, when I'm walking her many people seem to believe that she is a pit bull mix.

What cutie! Border collie mix? Hope she gets adopted soon.
PS. Four families are interested in Chestnut so our foster mutt is going home this month. Yay!
PS2. Lindsay, could you please erase my smiley face comment? Don't want to have more chances to win. :-)
