My dog had an infected nail bed after one of his nails cracked.
Ace has had to have his paw wrapped for a few days, and he’s on antibiotics. We’re going to the vet this morning to see how his paw is healing.
I’ve been using a product called the Assisi Loop on Ace’s wound at least once a day since Wednesday.
The Loop uses an electromagnetic field to potentially reduce inflammation in dogs and speed up the healing process, according to Assisi Animal Health, which developed the product.
The company sent me a Loop for review purposes, and I originally used the product to help reduce pain in my dog’s shoulder related to tendinitis.
I thought I saw some improvement in Ace’s shoulder, so I hope the Loop can also help speed up the healing in his paw.

He is much better now! Pretty much back to normal except he has a missing nail and more of a stub until it grows back. Poor guy!

Have any studies been done to objectively assess these devices Lindsay? Sounds like a marvellous thing.

I would take a look at the "research library" tab on Assisi's site: http://www.assisianimalhealth.com/research/publications/

I've heard good things about this - never tried it myself though. Will be interested if it helps Ace.

He didn't have to have his paw re-bandaged, so I took that as a good sign it might've helped.
