PuppySwap is the “world’s first puppy subscription service” with a “low monthly rate” and “no longterm commitments,” according to its web site.
You can even choose from “trending” breeds, it says.
Let me know what you think of its video below.

I was actually expecting this to be an ad for fostering (probably because I totally got to do this with a litter of kittens as a foster owner), but what they did with it was good. Thanks for sharing that. I got all emotional when they loaded up the old dog in the van. I couldn't imagine doing that. I've found I like my pets more as they age, even if I can no longer leave bread on the counter because Fred is now big enough to jump up and take little bites out of every slice like a demented, starving woodpecker.

I prefer older pets too. Less trouble!

Well, it's creepy! But I get what they're going for. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's going to deter people from getting a puppy when they shouldn't or not getting rid of their dog. I'm not sure what the numbers are but I believe I've heard most people get rid of dogs due to finances, moving or pregnancy. I wish there were more programs to help people keep their dogs during hard times or help with responsible re-homing or education & training to make things work.
I also wonder what the stats are on people who give up adopted dogs vs dogs bought from breeders.
