Readers of That Mutt have raised $140 so far to help sponsor the adoption donation fee of a Lab/pitbull mix named Gemini.
I love how a blog in southern California can accept donations from people all over the country to help a dog in Fargo, N.D.
Donations have come in so far from places such as Duluth, Minn.; New York; Los Angeles; and Indianapolis.
People really do come together to help dogs.
I will give 100 percent of the money to the Humane Society Fargo-Moorhead at the time of Gemini’s adoption (update: Gemini has an adoption in the works!). Sponsoring her fee allows someone to adopt her at a reduced cost, which increases her chance of getting into a home sooner.
