I loved this story.
After spending months in a New York shelter, a senior pitbull has been adopted by three nuns.
The 9-year-old dog named Remy spent months at the Hi Tor Animal Care Center, according to News 12 in Hudson, NY. But her “prayers were answered” when the nuns from Sisters of Our Lady of Christian Doctrine took her home.
In a video by News 12, the sisters said their previous dog recently passed away, and they wanted to provide a home to a dog nobody else wanted.
“Very friendly right away, she just seemed like she belonged,” said one of the nuns in the video. “She’s a senior, and we’re seniors, and she’s a gentle dog.”
“She’s given a lot of joy to our house,” said one of the other women.
Congratulations Remy. Wishing you many relaxing days ahead.

This made my eyes water up. Im always so happy when a pit gets another chance and to show people that they are just a dog. I don't mean that in a negative way. The "breed" has done amazing things for society that you don't hear about often. I've owned pits and they're great! They are dogs though, not some crazy beasts that some portray them as. Sending lots of love to everyone involved in her rescue!!!!

How sweet! I've been thinking that next time we get another dog, it will be a senior. We'll see, though. Maya and Pierson still have many years left.

I'd like to adopt a senior as well.
