What are you doing to help your community become no kill?
I am attending the No Kill Conference this weekend in D.C.
Presenters at the No Kill Conference will include some of the country’s most successful shelter directors and animal lawyers. These speakers will teach attendees how to use the legal system to save the lives of animals and to build additional no-kill communities.
The conference is a joint effort between the No Kill Advocacy Center, the Animal Law program at George Washington University Law School and No Kill Nation.
According to the No Kill Advocacy Center, if every animal shelter in the United States embraced the no kill philosophy and the programs and services that make it a reality, we would save nearly four million dogs and cats that are scheduled to die in shelters this year.
I’m very excited to finally have the opportunity to attend!
Do you believe it’s OK to kill healthy, adoptable animals for “space”?

Wow! I've never heard of this before. What a great way to learn how to navagate the legal system for animals. The laws can be so confusing. This would be a great conference for all shelters, rescue groups, and any other animal-welfare organization to attend. I will share this with my friends.
