The top-commenter contest for February will be a little different than the last few months. At the end of the month, the number of comments the top commenter has left will represent the number of dollars That Mutt will donate to an animal shelter of the winner’s choice. The amount donated really depends on how many comments you leave.

The month is short, so start commenting! Spam comments will not be counted, of course. And I may have to set a limit at some point, but I’ll worry about that if the time comes. If anyone wants to join in and match the amount I donate or start a similar contest, let me know!

Apryl DeLancey of Women Like Sports and Biggie Z from Biggie Z – The Notorious D.O.G. were the top two commenters for January. Apryl’s bloodhound Gus and Biggie the kuvasz each win a DogPause bowl. Thank you to everyone for supporting my blog!

I have two male cats and have just added a male dog (English Mastiff)! My dominent male cat and my dog whom seems to want to donimate are at war with each other. I have not had a dog & cat together in a long time and even then they were young when brought together. The cats are a year old and the dog is 7 months old. Any advice is appreciated.

Hey! I'm glad Gus likes his bowl. Well, or at least you like it. I need to start feeding Ace in that bowl again because he has gotten to be such a pig as well.

I just had to come back again and say just how AWESOME the DogPause bowl is for Gus. We've been using it a few weeks now and really notice an improvement. We've also been doing everything possible to keep him calm before we put the bowl down by remaining calm ourselves while we prepare his food. That coupled with the new bowl and he eats MUCH slower. Thanks again!
